A personal beginning. A shared purpose.
The experiences that shaped our hearts for service—and the community-wide mission they inspired.

“Growing up, I watched my mother stretch every dollar and still show up for everyone around her. Williams Hope Initiative exists because no family should have to hope alone — especially during the holidays.”
— Kenisha Williams
We each grew up watching a resilient single mother make sacrifices, keep going, and create possibilities for her family. We carry that example into the way we serve: with respect for people’s strength and attention to what practical support can make possible.
Through our involvement with VOUS Church, our commitment to community service, and the example of friends in philanthropy, including Ricky Patel and It’s For The Kids, we felt called to turn that care into an enduring organization. We founded Williams Hope Initiative in 2024.
Our experience gives us a special commitment to single mothers and their children. It also taught us that hope belongs everywhere. WHI welcomes people of every background and seeks opportunities to serve whole communities.
